A drive over the first set of mounds into this slight dog leg right hole, trouble left and right with gorse and trees presenting a challenge to the wanderer. A second shot laying up short of the cross bunkers will enable a wedge into a large flat green with the customary bunkers awaiting.
The Pro's View
Great par 5 from the raised back tee. The line here is a little further to the left than you might think. I try and hit my driver straight over the small tree on the corner of the hedge. It needs a good one though to bring the green into range. A good rescue club or a little 3 wood is usually what I need to reach the green. If it is too windy though, I would lay up short of the cross bunkers, which leaves a short shot to the green. The 16th does give a good chance of birdie after the previous two hard par 4's. I am always a little disappointed if I have not made birdie here.
