  • Hole 3 - Dog Leg

Features a sharp dog leg to the right following a tee shot drive down the hedge line. Bite off too much at your peril; two more good shots avoiding bunkers left and right to a large open green with bunkers at the front. Two putts in regulation and a safe five in the bag.

    The Pro's View.

Many people think I can hit it over the corner here, but it really is not worth the risk. I tend to hit my 3 wood or rescue club, depending on the wind, trying to hit it straight at the right side of the trees at the far side of the fairway. As long as I get this right, the green should be in range for me now with a long iron. I never go at the flag though, I just try and hit the middle of the green. I personally find the 3rd one of the easiest greens on the course to read, and if my ball does finish in the middle of the green, it leaves me a good chance of making an eagle, or birdie at worse.
