Out of Bounds on the right and gorse on the left, you need to be straight here. Big hitters may try to get up in two! Others prefer to play a medium iron over the cross bunkers leaving a short iron into a small flat green with bunkers at the front.
The Pro's View
If I ever need a good straight, solid drive, it's on this hole. Hitting this fairway is a must for me, and as long as I do, then the green is in range. Miss the fairway and it becomes a tricky par 5. As long as I have hit it straight (which of course I always do!!), my ball will usually be just short of the large cross bunker, which leaves about a 4 iron to the green. It is usually fairly firm just short of this green, so you can allow for the ball to run on a little. Great chance of eagle or a certain birdie, if all goes to plan.
