Tuesday 11^th June saw Hornsea Golf Club hold a Ladies Over 50’s AM AM. The weather conditions where testing with a good strong breeze a few isolated showers. We hope all golfers enjoyed their day at Hornsea.

Wednesday 8th May saw Hornsea Golf Club hold its 2nd Over 50′s of the year. The weather forecast was not great with many expecting rain, but in the end it stayed fine all day. We hope all golfers enjoyed the day.

‘Over 50′s Am Am.

Hornsea Golf Club held its first ‘Over 50′s Am Am’ event of the year on Wednesday 1st May. It was probably the best day of the year so far with all golfers enjoying great conditions with many playing in short sleeves. The course is playing very fast and firm at the moment due to the lack of rain and very little growth which all clubs are struggling with. Gareth and his greens staff had produced a fantastic course though, and all golfers I spoke to had enjoyed the day and will all be coming back again. Our next ‘Over 50′s’ is next Wednesday and we have a full field. We are taking bookings for next year’s event. 01964 534989 for details.

New Junior Organiser.

Hornsea Golf Club would like to introduce Rees Brown
as our new Junior Organiser. Rees is a category one golfer here at
Hornsea and has been assisting Glen Darnell in the junior activities. Ree’s
son Josh is a regular Junior Academy player and his wife Jo; a regular
volunteer. I am sure that Rees will continue with the excellent Junior
program that Glen has put in place with the help of all our wonderful Junior
volunteers, we wish him well.
